Class –I-V is introduced to the Library Management System and its Services. In the Library Orientation Programme, general information is given to the students. In the Library Orientation programme general information is given to the students on the following-
1. Introduction & Definition of the Library.
2. Rules of the library.
3. Library Committee.
4. Readers Club.
5. Types of collection (Printed/Non printed).
6. Periodicals (Newspapers & Magazines).
7. Library Software (e-Granthalaya).
8. Open Access System
9. Circulation of Study Material.
10. Shelving of Study Material.
💁 Activities and Services of Class Libraries
1. Circulation of books (Class I-V). These libraries are under the charge of Class
teachers.
2. The Class teacher issue books from the main library, which is in accordance
with the standard and interest of the age group of the children of the class
concerened
3. Display books attractively in the classes.
4. Keep Multiple copies of magazines.
5. Library Tour-Plan Primary students tour to main library.
6. Reading Corner in Primary/Resource room.
7. Hanging Libraries for Class I-V
8. Proper Record keeping of books read by students.
9. Proper Record keeping of books issued from main library.
10. Reading in natural environment to change mind and habit to refresh the
children.
💁Class Library Book Circulation Register 1. Register for book circulation has been maintained in the library. Required number of books has been issued from the main library. (Number of books=Total no.of books+10 books)
2. The teacher will issue books to the children class library periods. After these books have been read by the students, another set of books would be issued from the main library.
3. Books are issued to students of Class IV and V with proper instructions about its care and handling.
4. The Class teacher conduct activities such as storytelling, read aloud, book talks/discussion, competitions (book review writing, storytelling, news reading, book jacker/bookmark/poster designing, developing a story etc.
