LIBRARY PM SHRI KV ALWAR is knowledge hub of the
school and facilitates creation of new knowledge. It was started in 1965 presently;
it is holding more than 18000 titles covering various subjects. It is subscribing 20 magazines and 4 newspapers.
The
Library is open every day as per KVS norms. The interior of the library is designed in such a way that will attract
the students and make them feel comfortable.
Class libraries are functioning for Classes I-V. Library
follows an open access system. The library is automated by using e-Granthalaya 4.0 Library management software. Every book is barcoded and circulated by using
barcoding system.
Library has launched its own library blog (www.librarykvalwar.blogspot.in)
which includes NCERT Books, Journals, CBSE curriculum, sample papers, previous
years Question papers, e-Books, e-magazines, on-line quizzes, GK updates and
many more things.
The Library is organsing various activities and
Competition like Day Celebration, Quiz Completion creative writing, book
donation, My little book, book
talk/discussion, library awards, book exhibition and library visit to inculcate
reading habit among the students.
Library has established
Career & Guidance Corner, Reader’s Club, Teacher’s Corner, Creative & Critical Thinking Corner,
Library Automation Corner etc.
The library provides a welcoming learning environment
for the students & teachers, supports the school’s aim and curriculum,
encourage the love of reading and the development of students independent
learning skills.
